Russian McDonald’s rebranded and reopened Sunday after McDonald’s pulled its support following the country’s invasion of Ukraine. The chain now has a new name, logo and menu, according to a Reuters report, but is still using some of McDonald’s supplies as it hurriedly rebranded.
The new name, Vkusno & tochka, translates to “Tasty and that’s it.” The reopening took place on Russia Day, a day to celebrate national pride. McDonald’s sold its nearly 800 Russian stores to a Russian franchisee.
Pictures show the rebranded company handing out sauces that simply had the Golden Arches scribbled out in pen.
