McDonald’s will close its stores in the United Kingdom for most of the day for Queen Elizabeth II’s funeral, according to a CNN report.
“All of our U.K.. restaurants will be closed on Monday until 5 pm, to allow everyone at McDonald’s to pay their respects to Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II,” McDonald’s wrote in a tweet.
Sept. 19 has been named a public holiday across the U.K., with retailers and restaurants closing in mourning for the Queen, who died at the age of 96 last week.
