A MCDONALD’S has been blasted as the “worst McDonald’s in the UK” by diners who claim the restaurant serves burgers that taste like cardboard.
The branch in Kingswinford, near Dudley, West Midlands, has only two stars on TripAdvisor after a flurry of bad reviews from disappointed customers.
A variety of disgruntled comments call out terrible experiences they’ve had at the classic fast-food franchise, from the bland food to their slow service.
Some of the reviews have accused staff of “chatting and standing around,” as well as being served cold meals on the regular.
One reviewer said the branch was the worst McDonald’s in the West Midlands, telling customers the Greggs nearby was a far better option for hungry patrons.
They wrote: “Complaining to shift managers achieve nothing. Food quality poor. Most reviews on this platform and others such as just eat confirm this. Be warned!!!”
One person reviewed their burger as tasting “like cardboard.”
Another wrote: “Utterly rubbish. Worst McDonald’s in the UK. Has to be the worst McDonald’s in the UK!! Look at reviews not just on here but just eat etc!!!
“Order from here and you can almost guarantee missing food items. I have rarely received a correct order!! Food greasy and most orders cold. This is the rule here not the exception!!
“Last order, food not wrapped properly so order all over the place in the bag. Along with drinks not properly sealed lids, so drinks end up on the food!!!
“Is this acceptable???? To your paying customers???? Why aren’t managers managing there staff??? It’s totally evident that this McDonald’s has a severe problem with incorrect orders!!!
“Just look at the amazingly poor feedback!! It’s by far the sloppiest McDonald’s I’ve ever ever encountered!!”
One person even said the franchise could use a new manager: “Can’t control the staff, we was in there and after 5 minutes arguments from the back. The whole branch needs a new manger and staff.”
Another person was disappointed to find they couldn’t even eat their meal when they got home after an incredibly long wait: “Waited 35mins in queue, asked for no cheese- receipt said no cheese, burger box said cheese..guess what was on it. CHEESE.
“Got home and couldn’t eat as it’s an allergy I have. Phoned up and manager put the phone down on me as soon as she clicked I was phoning with a problem.
“Don’t bother with this branch. Absolute waste of time.”
The branch has a five rating from the Food Standards Agency but was last inspected in October 2018.
The McDonald’s press office said that customer satisfaction is one of their top priorities and that the bad reviews were a “tiny proportion of the thousands of customers served each day.”
A spokesperson said: “If any customer does have a complaint, we encourage them to either speak to a member of the crew in the restaurant or get in touch with our customer services team.”
