National restaurant and franchise business groups want to reverse a new California law to change how labor standards are set in the fast-food sector by taking the question to voters in 2024.
The National Restaurant Association and International Franchise Association has kicked off an effort to circulate a statewide petition to invalidate the law (A.B. 257). The groups are leading a coalition of franchise owners, restaurateurs, and other organizations opposed to the law.
