JEFFERSONVILLE — Big O Tires in Jeffersonville announced that construction is underway for a new location, according to a news release.
Owners of the Jeffersonville store hope to have the new location at 2550 Allison Lane open sometime in May after relocating from 10th Street.
The $1.7 million project will help the business provide more amenities to customers, with eight bays, more parking and new and upgraded technology. It will be located within walking distance of Meijer, Kohl’s, McDonald’s and Zaxby’s, as well as Jeffersonville High School.
The business has been serving the Southern Indiana community for 40 years, providing new tires, tire service and repair, oil, lube, filters, batteries, brakes, alignment, suspension and front-end services. But partners Bill Walker, Tom Walker and Josh McCullough — who bought the Jeffersonville franchise in 2010 — say they know it takes more than that to keep a loyal customer base.
“This business is not just about selling tires,” McCullough said in the release. “We’re in the customer-service business and treat our customers like neighbors and friends. We know they’ll love our new space and we can’t wait to welcome them.”
Current employees will move to the new location and more positions will need to be filled once the store is open. Visit bigotires.com for more information.
